Livelihood and Humanitarian Relief
Pakistan ranks 7th in the global climate risk index among countries most affected by climate change between 1996 and 2015. The south and northern regions of the country are particularly affected by earthquakes, floods and drought. Rural livelihoods are specifically affected by such natural hazards causing further stress on those living below the poverty line.
BRIC Pakistan has been working in disaster-prone areas of Pakistan for many years now increasing the resilience of the target communities and allowing survivors to take part in various capacity-building and vocational sessions. This ensures that they are well equipped to learn disaster coping mechanisms with relief tools, first aid and first aid kits, as well as health and hygiene awareness in such situations.
