I was only five when I first saw my family working on a brick kiln as bonded labors. Initial years of my life were truly horrific. It wasn’t until I was nine when I finally got an opportunity to go to school. I am immensely grateful for family, friends and all the supporters who helped a deprived slave child get an education who otherwise had no hope.

From my first day of school till university, I witnessed the inequality and instability deeply rooted in our society. The majority of the people in Pakistan live their lives in terrible conditions. The injustice of society is prevalent everywhere. Access to education, health, and justice are fundamental rights of the people.

The population is growing at an astounding rate and with it. 45% of the population is living below the poverty line and more than 9.7 million people are leading their lives at brick kilns as bonded labors. Education is the only solution they have to significantly change their lives for the better. To go from lives of slavery and insufficiency to that of freedom and wealth

“Nations who are aware of the importance of education, are ruling the world today, with their vision and success, which they got through education. Those who are ignorant of the importance of education are miles behind and will possibly spend centuries trying to catch up with the first world.

Those who work hard, with loyalty and with commitment, surely reap their rewards. Without education and awareness, everything is worthless. Education in-stills civilization and provides an opportunity to harvest a better future.

Education is essential for everyone but even more for women and children. An educated mother lays down the foundations of an educated nation. Education and literacy for women play a vital role in the success and development of the nations. It should be a top priority”
